Throughout our history, we have leveraged our twin screw extrusion technology to serve several industries (both food and non-food) and contribute to realize our customers' wishes.

When speaking about food industry, Clextral has been a pionner in today's tremendous market of meat and fish analogs (i.e High Moistrure Extrusion, Texturized Vegetable Proteins) torwards human and pet food.

Other applications have been also developped on Clextral equipment such as : breakfast cereals, pet food treats and kibbles, couscous, but also such as specific papers (e.g. banknotes), plastic compounding, chemical industry.

Clextral provides you with the complete solution to transform alternative proteins into meat substitutes. With more than 20 years of experience in protein fibration using twin-screw extrusion technology, Clextral is the pioneer of HME and TVP technology.

Thanks to the HMEC technology, High Moisture Extrusion Cooking, it is possible to continuously process HMEC plant based food raw materials with high moisture content (from 50 to 80%) to obtain meat-like texture thanks to a controlled and optimised thermomechanical treatment.

Protein-based ingredients to make texturized proteins (TVP) are typically processed at low moisture content (10 to 27%) and cooked in the extruder using a combination of thermal and mechanical energy.

Clextral’s continuous and flexible extrusion process gives processors multiple options to create healthy and premium foods from an extended range of raw materials and protein sources.
