Dynamic Checkweigher Systems

Dynamic Checkweighing is a method of safe guarding within the food and packaging industries for product weights. A Checkweigher system will check weights of products whilst in motion, rejecting any products that are over or under the set weight. All our Checkweigher systems are approved to both OIML and MID (EC TAC) specifications and include Automatic Mean Weight correct, which helps to ensure weight legislation.

Loma’s CW3 range of Dynamic Checkweighers are easy to use with intuitive full colour touchscreens and icon-driven menus as well as offering fast inspection and product set up, automatically optimising the systems for each product type allowing you to learn and switch within minutes. Our machines are made for products ranging from small and light sachets right through to Heavy weight boxes.

Creating a Comprehensive Critical Control Point

LOMA’s integrated Combination Systems are the ideal way to inspect and weigh all in one machine, with the option of a system combining either metal detection or X-ray inspection capabilities along with dynamic checkweighing. Combination Systems not only provide several key quality and efficiency benefits, but as there is only one supplier, this simplifies line management from the initial installation, to sourcing of spare parts, to future servicing requirements.

The ability to save space is also an advantage for a factory where room is a premium, as combining the functions can help save up to around 25% with this Combination System’s footprint versus the equivalent if two separate machines were to be installed.

With Combination Systems being able to check the product’s weight, they are perfect for checking food in its finished form, such as packaged food to go and convenience foods that is about to be shipped to the retailer. With a Combination System, customers have the reassurance of a robust Critical Control Point (CCP), as it is designed to highlight any detection and weight issues, helping improve quality of production output and simplifying processes.

Optimized detector mechanics, true Variable Frequency technology, progressive electronics and a better, faster Auto-Learn brings considerable performance gains over prior generation IQ3+ST search heads. Even in challenging applications, such as a heavy-metalized film product, great sensitivity can be set-up with Auto-Learn and inspected without the need for further optimization.
