Dissolved air flotation is a wastewater treatment process used to remove solids, oils, and fats. In this process, the wastewater is first saturated with air under pressure. Then the pressure is suddenly reduced, causing fine air bubbles to form. These bubbles attach to the contaminants and float them to the surface, where they can be skimmed off as foam. This efficient process improves water quality and is commonly used in industrial applications.
