All important information for your IFFA visit is available for your personal PDA (PalmOS, Windows Pocket PC) with the xGuide system. With xGuide you are able to access information about the ispo with the following features: search for exhibitors search for product groups exhibitors are shown on zoomable maps event search (by list, date or topic) general information For your convenience the xGuide system offers the following additional feature: Set up of a personal, sortable tour. For users of a PalmOS PDA the export of personal tour information to the PalmOS-MemoPad or to other devices via infrared or Bluetooth is possible. Please note: last update from 27 April 2007. For exhibitor data later than that please check "Find exhibitors" or the Compass counters at the fairgrounds. How do I get the information? For PalmOS users: System requirements: minimum PalmOS 3.1, free memory min. 2,2 MB, recommended PalmOS 3.5.3 or higher. Download the file en_iffa07_palm-install (zip format) to your desktop PC. Unzip the file into an arbitrary directory and add it to your HotSync installation list by double-clicking the file en_iffa07_install.prc. (Consult your PalmOS handbook for details on the general installation procedure.) The application will be installed on your Palm on the next HotSync. The application "xGuideBrowser" will be added to your application list on the Palm, easily to recognize by the IFFA logo. On the first start some IFFA databases will be decompressed - please be patient a few seconds. You can uninstall the application with the PalmOS specific "Delete" function. |

For Pocket PC users: The application requires the Windows Pocket PC system (WinCE 3.0/PocketPC 2002/WindowsMobile 2003) and at least 10 MB of free memory. Download the file en_iffa07.arm.CAB (for PocketPC 2002: en_iffa07_PPC2002.arm.CAB) (Microsoft-CAB-Installer-format) and use your standard synchronization software (e.g. Microsoft ActiveSync) to transfer the file to your PocketPC. (Consult your Handbook for details on the general installation procedure.) Execute the file on your PocketPC with the file explorer to start the installation. |

Alternatively download the file en_iffa07.exe (for PocketPC2002: en_iffa07_PPC2002.exe) (Microsoft-Self-Extractor) to your desktop-pc. Double-tap this file for execution of the installation process that installs the program on your PocketPC-device. During the installation, a number of files will be unpacked, which can take several minutes. A link to a html page will be added to your start menu. This will be the entry point of the application. You can uninstall the application with Settings -> System -> Remove program. |
