Monday, 7 - Wednesday, 9 May 2007 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 midday
The IFFA Meat Vision Conference illuminates the trends of the sector and the future of the market with the following topics:
Meat marketing: healthy and politically correct enjoyment Ethical and moral questions, as well as health worries, are influencing the image of meat and consumer behaviour throughout the world. In most countries, image-boosting meat marketing means marketing to saturated markets, which calls not only for original communication ideas but also for new methods of approaching the consumer. Exemplary concepts from Europe, the USA and Asia will be presented and discussed at the Meat Vision Conference.
Meat logistics: transportation without borders Promises of freshness demand fast and effective work. Punctuality, reliability, un¬broken temperature control and extreme service orientation are the attributes expected of the ideal meat-logistics specialist in the meat sector. But not only that: to create greater transparency, the EU issued a directive in 2002 requiring forwarding agents and dealers to document the origins and transport ways of foodstuffs. This provision was renewed at the beginning of 2005. At the Meat Vision Conference, scientists and experts from the sector will take an in-depth look at the possibilities and limits of supply-chain service.
The meat sector: the whole world – a single market Competition on the global meat markets is becoming fiercer. In the wake of globalisation, only a few big companies will dominate the market along the value chain. Alongside them will be a significantly lower number of efficient small to medium-sized companies. At the Meat Vision Conference, renowned speakers will discuss the competitive challenges facing companies in the world market and with which innovative, impulse-generating concepts and sales strategies they can succeed in orienting all their activities towards the increasing expectations of tomorrow's consumer.
